Dr. John B. Rowe has practiced psychotherapy since 1989. Dr. Rowe received his Ph.D. in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in 2007, and has been in private practice since 2014, after serving for 11 years as a therapist with N.C. Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, and then for 17 years in Davidson, NC as a therapist with Methodist Counseling and Consultation Services in Charlotte. He is also licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist (NCLMFT #498). Dr. Rowe also completed a certificate program in Spiritual Direction from the Haden Institute at Kanuga Conference Center in Hendersonville, NC.
Dr. Rowe enjoys travel and study and has attended the Jungian Winter Institute in Kusnact, Switzerland, visited Machu Picchu, Vietnam, and Greece, among other fascinating places.
He lives in the Elizabeth neighborhood of Charlotte with his wife, Edie, and their dogs Theo and Betsy, and their cat Leonard. Theo, a friendly Cocker Spaniel, comes to work with him as an unofficial therapy dog. In his free time, Dr. Rowe enjoys bicycling, hiking, swimming, reading, and movies.
